304L Stainless Steel 

Type 304L stainless steel is an extra-low carbon version of 304 stainless steel. Also called Alloy 304L, the lower carbon content minimizes deleterious or harmful carbide precipitation. As a result, 304L stainless steel bar grating can be used as-welded in severe corrosion environments.

316 Stainless Steel

Alloy 316, or 316 SS, is an austenitic stainless steel with heightened chromium, nickel, and molybdenum levels. The boosted amount of molybdenum improves resistance to chloride pitting and saltwater degradation. Typically called food- or marine-grade steel, it’s non-magnetic in the annealed condition but can become magnetic when cold-worked or welded. 

316L Stainless Steel

316L stainless steel is a highly corrosion-resistant type of stainless steel. Elevated amounts of nickel and molybdenum help prevent crevice and pitting corrosion. Type 316L is very durable and resistant to chemical contaminants and acidic solutions such as bromides, sulfuric acid, and chlorides. Swaged stainless steel bar grating is fabricated by inserting hollow tube cross bars into bearing bars with pre-punched holes. The crossbars are then permanently secured using a swaging reshaping process. With cross bars recessed below the top surface of the bearing bars, swage-locked grating offers clean lines and a distinct appearance.

Welded Stainless Steel Grating

A grating type where bearing bars and cross bars are resistance welded under high heat and pressure, forming a permanent joint. This creates a rugged, one-piece structural panel with a smooth and flat surface that’s safe for walking.
