IS BANDING NECESSARY FOR BAR GRATING?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MILL FINISH, PAINTED BLACK, AND GALVANIZED FINISH?

Mill finish is the plain finish directly from the mill. Painted black is a black paint that helps finish the product but does not prevent rusting. Galvanized finish is the best possible solution to prevent rusting. Click here to request more information.

Panels are manufactured to 2’ and 3’ widths, while providing standard lengths up to 24’ long. 18R7 Light Duty Riveted Steel Bar Grating is available in bearing bar sizes ranging from 3/4" to 2 1/2" depths and thicknesses of 3/16” and 1/8”. 18R7 is spaced 1-1/8” between bearing bars and 7” c.c. for the rivets. Typical applications include: catwalks, platforms, pedestrian trenches, pedestrian sump pits, etc. Surface options are smooth or serrated.
